Tree of Life Acupuncture has been serving the New Orleans and South Louisiana communities since 2019. We offer a range of Traditional Chinese Medicine services, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, Tuina massage, as well as instruction in the mind-body exercise, Qigong, to promote health and wellness.
Our office is conveniently located in New Orleans’ Marigny-Bywater neighborhood at 1040 St. Ferdinand Street, at the corner of St. Claude Avenue.

Variety of Methods
Drawing on over 3,000 years of tradition, TCM has developed many therapeutic modalities. Besides the most familiar and widely used acupuncture techniques, there is Tuina (medical massage), Moxabustion (heat therapy), Guasha (pore-opening friction using tools), electric stimulated acupuncture, fire cupping, and herbal formulas. Any or several of these will be "on the table" for your personalized treatment plan.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment is based on patterns of imbalance in the holistic spirit-mind-body as a whole. No biomedical diagnosis is needed to decide what therapeutic method to use, and even in the absence of overt or consistent symptoms, a pattern can be detected which can guide treatment.

If you are new to acupuncture and wish to get an idea of what TCM can offer you before making the decision, email to schedule a TCM consult. You will receive a form after your patient account is initiated for consent to treatment and your health information.

All services at Tree of Life Acupuncture and PCAC are at a sliding scale fee. An initial acupuncture appointment is $90-110. The sliding scale for community acupuncture is $25-50. Prices for other services are available upon request. Any treatments given in addition to acupuncture are included in this fee.

Your first appointment will run up to two hours (90-120 minutes). At the first appointment, there will be a comprehensive intake which runs 30-40 minutes, and the rest of your time will be for acupuncture or other therapies.
Follow-up appointments run about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes.
